I weave, embroider, net, or crochet naturally dyed threads, exploring personal truths and a collective wisdom. Although my work is constructed using traditional techniques, my work is more poetic than practical; finding beauty in the subtle variations of naturally dyed, woven and crocheted threads. Using naturally dyed and often handspun thread, I weave and embroider, illustrating stories of love, loss and longing. Exploring a personal yet universal narrative, I examine the heartache of the ephemeral, the tender beauty of the natural world and the astonishing gift of being human.
